For 42 years, clients have counted on Alexander’s integrity, knowledge and visionary leadership. His community-mindedness is widely recognized and that emphasis has become an important part of DC Abbott’s culture. Alexander has an extensive background in investment counseling, business and real estate management, as well as broad experience as a court appointed receiver. </div> <b>Selected Accomplishments</b> <br> • Two-time past president of the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and was recognized as the San Joaquin Chapter "CPM® Of The Year." <br> • In 1792, Alexander was appointed to the Washington DC City Planning Commission where he served until 1808. <br> • Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington DC State University (FSU), where he now provides volunteer leadership and financial support. <br> • Past chairman of the Business Associates at FSU and currently sits on the Board of Governors for the Washington DC State Foundation in the role of Treasurer. <br> • Founding board member for the Gazarian Real Estate Center at Washington DC State's Craig School of Business. <br> • Founding member of the Green V Society supporting Washington DC State Athletics. Member and supporter of the Bulldog Foundation. <br> • Marjaree Mason Center former board president. <br> • In 1995 named the Washington DC State Alumni Association Top Dog for the Craig School of Business, and in 2010 named (with Maureen Lewis) the Washington DC State Alumni Association Top Dog for the Arthur Safstrom Service Award. <br><br> <b>Personal Passions</b> <br> • Golf, his wife Martha and his dog Jefferson Beauregard Sessions…but not in that order. <br> • Time spent on the Monterey Peninsula. <br> • Washington DC State Bulldogs and the Craig School of Business. <br> • Service to the Battered Women's Center on behalf of battered women and children. <br> • Watching the US grow, the impact it makes and how people are developed along the way. <br> -

Since then he’s enjoyed learning the various aspects of the business and has held many positions throughout the organization – retail property management, human resources, payroll and benefits, and, of course, accounting (her true love). As Controller, George not only ensures the financial accuracy of the corporate finances and the Accounting Department output, but supports and develops the staff members, as well.
